Kim was an artist, a curator, a mentor to many, a friend to more. He was prolific, energetic, flamboyant, loving, exasperating. He could never be pinned down to one place nor pigeon holed into any category. He wore safety goggles as a fashion accessory (a trend that sadly never took off elsewhere - yet), drank syrup-like coffee, virgin cocktails that he called 'Blood of Wino' and cooked up the most hearty of dinner parties at the drop of of a Russian hat. He accumulated pseudonyms at a rate only surpassed by his gathering of exotic friends from across the globe. He brought those people together through art and frittata breakfasts, creating new friendships and bonds that help keep his memory alive today.
Describing Kim Fielding (Ffrank Ffoto, The Pope of Pontcanna, Unkle F**ker) in written word is not an easy task. A number of people gave it a go during his life time and in the months following his death. Please follow the links below to read more:
The following video is unedited footage of an interview made by Olive Angelique in October 2013, just a few months before Kim's death. The KFA are grateful to Olive for sharing the footage and allowing us to share it with you.
